Karen found a great website that sold spices of all kinds. It is called Penzeys Spices (www.penzeys.com). On Saturday as I took Kristan shopping for a prom dress and with Barry intow I saw a Penzey Spice store across the parking lot. Truthfully, I saw the sign for Penzey as Kristan shouted out the store for her dress and as Barry was looking for some place to eat. After two hours of successful dress shopping and leaving the crowded store, I stated I was going to spend about 20 minutes in the Spice store, regardless of Barry's pleas to go and eat. The store has everything and you can smell or sample everything in stock. They also have recipes for their feature spices. I picked up a few spices. Here is one of the ones I got (Red and Green Bell Peppers)

To make 1/4 cup of fresh like peppers when you have none in your refrig, just take 1/4 cup of water to 2 tablespoon of the dried pepper flakes. Let the flakes soak in the water for about 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes drain the water and you have some plump, tasty peppers to add to meatloaf, soup, spaghetti, etc.

If you have a chance look them up on the website--Wendy
